Trick or Treating

Well, my oldest daughter was not here for trick or treating last night. So, I decided that I would go trick or treating with Zoey (is there an age limit on trick or treating or is it all about what's in your heart?)

She was a girl from a 50's sock hop that never got a date. She's back from the dead for revenge...lol. While trick or treating she would ask people if they wanted to go to the sock hop. The younger kids didn't quite get it but the older crowd loved it. She got lots of comments.

Here are a couple of photos of us just before heading out.

New Snowman Stump Doll ~ Christmas Caroler

I got this cutie finished up today but he won't be listed til later this weekend. I'm not sure if I want to add a few more details or not!

He is another one of my musical dolls. Push the cover of his book and it plays 3 different christmas carols.

We are getting ready for our first night of trick or treating. We go to my mom's town the first day then our town the second. The kids have such a blast and lots of candy with going two nights!

New Pattern...almost caught up!

Just a quick post today. Feeling better is awesome but catching up is hectic! Im almost there though. I have to work on a pattern for my new snowman stump below (now sold and thank you!) and get some graphics finished up.

I know there were some of you asking if the "Ice 4 Sale" snowman would be a pattern. I had been working on the pattern before I got sick and FINALLY got it finished up today. You can click her to go to her ebay auction.

MIA & New Doll

I know i've been MIA lately. I got really busy with orders then fell ill. My doctor switched me to Cymbalta for my fibromyalgia and one of the side effects is a decreased appetite (unlike Lyrica which made me want to eat the house!). My appetite decreased so much so that I could barely even stand the smell of food. This went on all last week. And with not eating, my energy grew less and less until Friday I couldn't even get out of bed.

Saturday took a turn for the better though. I was finally able to eat and it's gotten better every day since. Im now feeling 100% better! Maybe I just needed time to adjust to the new med.

I got orders caught up yesterday and I even managed to finish a snowman stump doll that I had started before all of this happened. He is now listed in my WSOAPP shoppe!

This little guy had a hard time stringing the lights up on his Christmas tree...lol.

Thank you to Pam of Prims*by*Pam for the Fabulous Fall Decor Award!

I will be nominating 6 people as soon as I get a chance! What an honor!

A special thanks to Kaela of Sunshines Creations as well, for tagging me!

Update On Zoey

I have had several emails and a post about Zoey so I figured I would get a post up for everyone.

Zoey is not currently working on anything. She did sit down with me to make some icicles this past weekend and she mentioned she might want to do something with gingerbreads.

I think she has spurts where she REALLY wants to make something and then she is just more interested in playing with her friends and cousins than anything. So I'm just letting her work at her own pace. I've got some gingerbread ideas so i'm going to give her a couple of them this weekend and see if she is interested in them.

I know that the ghosts were pretty time consuming and difficult for her first piece so I figure if we go back to basics she may be more apt to want to create more. Kids have minds that only like to be occupied with something for a short time and then its time to move on. I know that if I offered her up the chance to make her own rag quilt she would do it in a heartbeat. She has helped with rag quilts before and she really liked it. I plan to run that by her as well. It's time consuming, but she can work on that in between other things and it isnt too complicated.

Im also hoping with fall upon us and the colder weather setting in, she will want to craft more as well since she won't be outside much. Iowa weather can be horrible in the winter months and according to the farmer's almanac, we are in for a doozy this year.

The sun is already setting before 7:30 and before too long, it will almost be set by the time she gets home from babysitting after school. I know she will definately be wanting to do more while cooped up in the house.

I know there are quite a few waiting to see her next creation and even some that have been emailing back and forth with zoey! She really appreciates that too. She always gets excited with new emails and when people compliment her. She does one of those "I can't believe people really like what I make!" lol. It's so awesome for her!

When she starts a new creation, I will be sure to post about it and this time, I hope to get pics of her making it and the progress she makes each time she works on it! So stay tuned...

Old Time Icicle Ornies!

Well i'm not sure how I found the time to get these made up yesterday but I did!

It was homecoming last night so I spent hours curling my oldest daughters hair and she was so beautiful! She then dashed out the door before I could get pics! I've got a bone to pick with her still...lol.

Anyway, I got some old time icicle ornies made up with a pattern to follow shortly...

First 2008 Christmas Ornies!

I finally got a chance to make some Christmas ornies today. They popped in my head last night as I was laying down. Isn't that always about the time that everything in the world starts running through your head at about a million miles an hour? Then you develop insomnia due to an overactive imagination and axiety...or maybe that's just me? LOL

Anyway...I have to chuckle everytime I look at them because their beards just kill me. I dunno why...they just do!

There will be a pattern to follow shortly.
