New Doll, New Technique & New Prize!

Our weekend was great. Spent a lot of time with family (as usual) and it was Jeighce's prom. She had sooo much fun!

I wanted to holler to everyone to let them know about the SOATP Nursery Rhyme Challenge. This was an awesome theme to work with! It brought me even more out of my shell and I tried new techniques on the doll that I entered!

I chose "The Man In The Moon" for my challenge piece and WOW...he really turned out neat and he glows in the dark!

HUGE Giveaway and New Doll!

Hey ya'll! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. We celebrated my oldest daughter's 17th and two of my neices all on Saturday. It was a really wonderful day with the family!

I apologize for being so slow lately. It is certainly unlike me but between work and so many other things popping up, I am starting to realize that I'm becoming further and further away from my vision of being super woman...lol.

Anyway...I need to give you an update on the giveaway! I DID end up using one of your ideas because it was actually an idea of my own at one time. So I figure if two of us thought of it then I just had to make it! Jody over at Tumbleweed Trails suggested "Two Peas In A Pod". Now on ebay...

Jody, because I used your idea, you are getting the epattern for this piece and a little somethin else! I gotta try and get the pattern finished this week and will contact you as soon as it's finished...unless you get to me first!

Happy Late Easter, Family Passing, Giveaway

I hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday this past weekend.

Once again, I apologize for not posting sooner but we did have another passing in the family. My father in law passed away last week. This makes number 4 since mid february. I just don't get it. Sometimes I feel like we are just the most unlucky people. And often wonder what we did to deserve this?

I mean, we are decent people. We work, respect others, have good family upbringing, are close with family, etc. Why do so many bad things happen to good people? I suppose I could pose the question at any given time and still end up without an answer. Seems no one has the answers but it's still a question that weighs on me a lot.

I have noticed just a few suggestions on the giveaway. I'll give you a little update on that. I am almost sure of what I will be doing for it. I can't give all the details yet, but I do have plans in the works for it for this week. You will just have to stay tuned!

My oldest daughter turns 17 on the 21st but we will be celebrating it this weekend. She got her first car for easter and oh boy is she ever lucky! I will post more details about it later this week too when I get the video uploaded to go with it!
